Flavorseal Receives SQF Level 2 Certification

Flavorseal, a leading manufacturer of flexible food packaging and supplies, announced it has earned a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 certification for its facility. The Level 2 certification means that Flavorseal has successfully completed a stringent food safety auditing process, and verifies that their manufacturing facility and warehouse is in compliance with a HACCP- Based Supplier Assurance Code for the Food Industry (SQF Edition 7.1).

“At Flavorseal, we’ve always been committed to producing high quality innovative products and that starts with high manufacturing standards,” said Chris Carroll, president and owner of Flavorseal. “Our customers know that food safety has always been a top priority for our company and we will continue to invest and deliver on that promise.”

Administered by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), the SQF Certification Program utilizes a single standard that is used by all sectors of the food industry, from primary production to transport and distribution. Completion of this certification program ensures businesses have the documentation they need to demonstrate the steps they’ve taken to increase food safety and comply with other government and industry food safety standards.

Flavorseal’s Corporate Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory department is headed by Dr. A. Gus Eskamani, PhD, who is an SQF Practitioner and was recently confirmed as CFS (Certified Food Scientist) by IFSCC/IFT (International Food Science Certification Commission/Institute of Food Technologists).

Flavorseal specializes in products for the food processing and foodservice markets, providing customized solutions that improve ways to package flavor. In addition to the SQF Level 3 Certification, the Flavorseal manufacturing facility has achieved a superior rating from the American Institute of Baking (AIB).
